Littler Sleeps

I'm knocking on wood about this, but a couple of weeks ago, Littler started sleeping through the night most nights. Like, REAL sleeping through the night (as in 7pm to 7am...)! When we're camping, she might wake up once, or, might not. I'm loving it! This was much easier than it was with Little!

Okay, so the truth of the matter is that a couple of weeks ago, it was reeeeeeeaally hot at home (like 102 in the Bay Area, no A/C...you get the picture). We had our fan on in our bedroom, and one night when she woke up, I just decided not to go to her because I was pretty sure she could fall asleep in not too long, and I was right. She didn't like it too much (although I could barely hear her), but she was asleep within 10 minutes. The next night we had our mattress downstairs with the fan (we were in the process of moving and had emptied our bedroom already), and we could hear her too much and it didn't seem to be going as well, so the moment Peter suggested it wasn't working, I got up and fed her. Even so, she has slept through the night more often than not since then. Soon, if she needs to be tended to, it's going to be Peter. (Time for him to pay his parental dues! mwahahahaha)

What's this about moving??

OK, I officially hate you now. "Sunny" has no intention of ever sleeping in his own bed and never misses his fifty night nursings.

Blah!

Yeah... we stopped cosleeping at 8 weeks with Littler and started putting her to bed with a normal routine in the pack'n'play for naps even before then, so she learned to fall asleep on her own instead of nursing to sleep. It was the ONE big thing I wanted to change after things with Little and it seems to have worked. She falls asleep really really well. (I think she's also a naturally good sleeper.)
