Playing outside today:

Portfolio... maybe

We are finally ready to compile a portfolio, we think. We have one on a 14-day free trial:

We're just starting to get it up and running, obviously. Let us know what you think!

What do YOU think?

Little: Would you be happy with me drawing on the door?

Arastradero, again

We biked to Arastradero to wander around with our friends.

Daddy slipped [gracefully] while carrying Ballyhoo on his shoulders and dropped her in a big pile of slick mud.  They both got nice and dirty.

Yummy.

Christmas with us

Our first Christmas ever by ourselves.

Littler got blocks.  She concentrated very hard on them.

Little got an easel.  She drew things. [note her puffy eyes, sign of her double eye and double ear bacterial infections...]

Littler enjoyed the easel too.

Little couldn't help helping Littler open her presents.

Little got a drawing notebook to occupy her during our trip in January.  When she opened it, she immediately got a marker and wrote her name on it [with a backwards E with an extra horizontal line].  The thing is, we had no idea she could do this.  She just popped out with it.  She can write her name on the computer but that's a different thing altogether!

Mommy is showing Little how to use one of her new toys.

It was a blast!

Grass Installment

After months of mud, we finally got some grass in our courtyard. So:

Little and her friend Alejandro.

Little and her friend/neighbor Wilhelm.

Little, Alejandro, and Olivander.

Mmmmmmm new squishy grass...

Littler got in on the grass action too.

Olivander.

Mommies Know How to Have Fun Too

This year our ward's Christmas party theme was Christmas by the Bay. Somehow I ended up singing in a sextet of sopranos in front of the entire ward (I actually really enjoyed it!). We sang Tim Hockleberry's "Christmas by the Bay" and got to dress up all fancy and cute-like with jingle bell bracelets and big red ribbons around our waists. I haven't gotten to dress all fancy for a performance since high school band concerts (or the one college one, but it wasn't quite as fancy...).

Then, a few minutes later, I got to perform in a funny snowman skit that was a spoof on lots of commonly known songs with lyrics changed to talk about snowmen. Sounds weird, but it really ended up being lots of fun, and the audience loved it! So the next several pitures are of different parts of that skit. We all sang and danced to pretty much everything, but I was in small groups in a little rap and one with Spanish words to the melody of "La Cucaracha". I'm glad I went outside of my normal little boundaries and did these things. It was a lot of fun!

Nativity Pageant

Little and Littler were cast as an angel and a sheep for the little nativity pageant one of our neighbors and friends from the ward held on Sunday. I threw their costumes together a few minutes before we left, which is why Littler doesn't look anything like a sheep, but, what can ya do?

Here's Little before the pageant:

Here she is wondering what Mary and Joseph are up to:

Time for a break...Hey look! Some hay!

What's in here anyway?
